FAQ

Straight answers.

Real questions from real GCs, engineers and owners. Don't see yours?

How deep and wide can you drill?+

Our pressure diggers bore 16" to 60" in diameter and up to 30 feet deep in most soils. Digger derricks handle 12" to 36" diameters up to 16 feet deep with reach into tight spots.

What kinds of soil can you drill in?+

Clay, silt, sand, gravel, weathered rock and mixed conditions across the Sioux Empire. If we need a rock auger or core barrel, we'll let you know upfront.

Are you licensed and insured?+

Yes — fully licensed in South Dakota and Minnesota and insured through Action Electric Company, in business locally since 1947. Certificates available on request before we mobilize.

Do you pour concrete or just drill the hole?+

Both. We can drill only, drill and place the rebar cage, or drill, cage and pour in a single mobilization. Most clients save time and money bundling the work.

Can you work in winter?+

Yes. We pour through Sioux Falls winters with hot mix, blankets and accelerators. Frozen ground adds time; we'll quote it honestly.

How fast can you get to site?+

For most Sioux Empire jobs we mobilize within 1–2 weeks. Emergency and storm-related work moves faster — call 605.334.8141 and we'll triage.

How do I get a quote?+

Send us your plans, a site address, and an idea of timing. We'll respond within one business day with budget pricing or a firm quote.

Is Action Foundation Drilling the same company as Action Electric?+

Yes. We're the foundation drilling division of Action Electric Company in Sioux Falls — same ownership, same crews, same standards since 1947.
